The Rev. April Alford-Harkey '09, is an ordained deacon who is canonically resident in the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut. She serves at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Lake Worth Beach, Florida, where she is licensed.
As a deacon, her ministry with The Episcopal Church is not compensated. Her paid ministry is as a hospital chaplain for Bethesda East and West Hospitals in Boynton Beach, Florida which are part of Baptist Health South Florida. April has been a healthcare chaplain since 2009 and has served as a pediatric chaplain, a chaplain for adults and children with developmental disabilities, and in a large hospital.
She lives with her spouse, the Rev. Marie Alford-Harkey '10, who is an ordained pastor and serves on the Governing Board of Metropolitan Community Churches. She is a hospice chaplain in St. Lucie and Martin counties in Florida.
