Do you feel a part of your life is stalled? Are you paused and waiting for an answer to prayer, or feel the need for change but are uncertain what to pray for? This playful, prayerful mini-retreat is rooted in the Biblical story of Jesus’ apostles waiting for clarity and direction. Advised by the risen Lord to stay in Jerusalem until the arrival of the Holy Spirit, the apostles are confused about waiting for a gift they do not understand. In response, they lean in together, prayerfully, and tarry. Eventually the Holy Spirit gives them the clarity and power necessary for the next chapter of faithful ministry. Join us for a day of prayer and (optional) creativity, conversation and listening.

The event, open to clergy and lay people, is a collaboration between Bethany House of Prayer, the Episcopal Diocese of New Hampshire, and Lifelong Learning at Episcopal Divinity School. The leaders for the day are Hannah Anderson (Canon to the Ordinary, NH), Diane D’Souza (Director of Life-Long Learning at EDS), and Julia Slayton (Executive Director, Bethany House).

A simple lunch/beverages will be provided as well as art supplies.  The suggested fee is $50.  Participants (limit 15) are encouraged to bring any art supplies they might like to share with the group. Bethany House of Prayer is located at 181 Appleton St. in Arlington, MA.
