Applicants who are denied admission to Episcopal Divinity School and wish to reapply must wait one calendar year from the date of their last admissions decision and then confirm their eligibility to reapply with the Admissions Office. Applicants who do not meet minimum program requirements will not be permitted to re-apply.
Reapplicants do not need to resend any official transcripts that were previously submitted, assuming it has been fewer than seven years since their last application. Transcripts from any institution(s) where academic credit was attempted or awarded since the most recent application must be submitted.
Additional items required are as follows:
- New application form.
- Updated background check.
- Application fee.
- Updated resume or CV.
- Two new letters of recommendation from individuals who have not previously recommended you (MDiv, MATS, or DMin); certificate applicants should submit one new letter.
- An autobiographical statement that includes a discussion of your reasons for reapplying to EDS.
- Updated standardized test scores (GRE, TOEFL, or IELTS) if your score has improved since your most recent application or if you were instructed to re-take the exam.
- One new interview.
Applicants who received an application fee waiver or reduction for their initial application are ineligible for a fee waiver or reduction for any subsequent applications.
We retain denied applications for seven years. If any individual’s application for any program is denied three times, we regret that we will be unable to consider any additional applications for any program from that individual.
