Ash Wednesday Quiet Day
Wednesday, Februray 10, 2016
St. John’s Memorial Chapel
Quiet Day at Episcopal Divinity School is a day to stop our normal routine and enjoy a change of pace in whatever way feels right, confident that we will meet our God in the “cracks” of the busy lives we choose to lead. Activities may include simple rest; devotional and/or recreational reading; silent meditation; time with friends and family; public common worship; a special meal; a walk outdoors; or a trip to a museum or concert.
Quiet Day is an all day, all school event. Faculty, staff and students are warmly invited to participate in whatever ways feel right and helpful to them. Distributive Learning students are reminded that they are most certainly included in this invitation, with the hope that as many of us as possible are joined in spirit as one community, each in our own individual yet intentional ways, wherever we are, changing the tempo of our daily rhythms.
