Community Life

Involvement in the life of the institution is an important aspect of a student’s educational experience. Students serve on such committees throughout the school as Field Education, Worship, Admissions, and the Student Executive Committee; other student initiated, school supported committees and groups are formed as needed or desired through the year. The EDS Community of Color meets to support and enrich the vocational, liturgical, scholarly, prophetic, and pastoral leadership of people of color affiliated with EDS. The EDS chapter of the Beatitudes Society focuses on outreach activities. Spring brings with it the “Both and Show,” a student-initiated send up of seminary life.

Considerable artistic talent is found within the school community, and the school is often used as a venue for concerts, performances, and art exhibits. In addition, the Cambridge/Boston area offers cultural and recreational opportunities of all kinds. Lesley University athletic facility memberships may be purchased by those affiliated with EDS.
