On Monday, February 11, the EDS community celebrated the life of Absalom Jones, the first African American ordained as a priest in the Episcopal Church, in Philadelphia in 1804.

Kimberly Jackson is the Episcopal chaplain for the Absalom Jones Student Center and Chapel at Atlanta University Center, which serves the students and faculty of three historically black colleges and universities: Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College, and Spelman College.
